|By TAP Staff| The Future Interiors Qatar conference, which got under way at the Intercontinental Hotel The City – Doha, brought together key players across the industry’s value chain: government officials, industry regulators, project owners, project managers, design professionals, contractors and consultants, and solution providers.
More than 100 attendees took part on the first day, which saw exciting presentations. “Creating a space that effectively reflects an organization’s image” by Matthew Kobylar, Director of Interiors and Workplace Strategy at Arney Fender Katsalidis, explained how office spaces can inspire staff and impress clients and visitors.
Ali Mangera, Director of Mangera Yvars Architects, explained how buildings interiors create intricate learning space and address the question of contemporary Islamic identity. Presentations were also made by Dorota Nazarewicz, Head of Department – Interior Design at Arab Engineering Bureau (AEB), Karl Johan Bertilsson, Creative Director NCS Color Academy at Hempel Paints and Soumya Vijaya, Sustainability Manager at Qatar Green Leaders.
The response to the event was hugely positive as delegates and sponsors enjoyed the high quality of the speaker panel as well as the opportunities to network with the industry’s key decision makers.
