Abdullah signs accords with Argentine minister

BUENOS AIRES // Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has signed a number of accords with his counterpart Susana Mabel Malcorra, the Foreign Minister of Argentina.

The two ministers discussed mutual cooperation between the UAE and Argentina and Abdullah stressed the strong UAE-Argentina relations and keenness on boosting them.

Sheikh Abdullah and Malcorra signed three memoranda of understanding. One related to giving exemption of diplomatic and special official passport holders from pre-entry visa. The second regarding exemption of pre-entry visa for ordinary passports holders, and last was granting permission to families of diplomats and consuls to work in both countries.

In a speech before the UAE-Argentina committee, Sheikh Abdullah noted that the relations between the UAE and Argentine are distinguished, stable and enjoy mutual respect, and joint desire to develop them to achieve the aspirations of the higher leadership of the two countries.

He said that the meeting presents an opportunity to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. “This is an effective platform to present proposals and practical solutions to enhance cooperation, explore opportunities and overcome challenges,” he added.
