Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (Adsic) will host the 22 entities in a dedicated stand as they introduce their value-added, customer-driven solutions that have been designed to make life in the UAE’s capital more convenient, safer and increasingly business friendly for citizens and residents alike.

Mohammed Al Marar, Adsic’s events manager, said: “Visitors will be able to experience a range of IT solutions that have been built to simplify many aspects of life in Abu Dhabi by offering end-users easy, friendly and accessible solutions.  We are confident that these solutions will have a highly positive and tangible impact on the daily lives of the general public, as we continue to integrate on all levels.”

The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ will highlight two of their newest e-services during Gitex. The ‘Sahl’ Self Services kiosk allows users to pay fines and renew their vehicle registration in just two minutes. They will also launch the ‘Ministry of Interior (MOI) UAE Mobile App’ during Gitex. In one app users will be able to access services from the four main sectors of the ministry: traffic and licensing, civil defence, police headquarters and naturalisation and residency.

For its part, the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) will be launching the ‘GIS Dashboard Mapping Service’ that will provide a diverse range of new features and services to the public including clinic and hospital locations across the emirate, information on facilities, doctors, warnings on counterfeit medication, eligibility to practice medicine in Abu Dhabi and information on disease outbreaks.

The Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD) will be showcasing a ‘Geo-statistical Mobile Application’, which presents foreign trade data on their website in an interactive and engaging way.

SCAD has also developed a section on their website consisting of easy to use interactive tools to streamline various statistical information. The tools require no analytical skills and provide an easy interpretation of statistical results.

Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) will present the ‘e-licensing App’, which is being extended to iOS and Android devices. The app provides another channel for accessibility and delivery of information services and will allow customers to renew license, pay fines and view key circulars and notifications.

TCA will also introduce a new bilingual ‘Online Shopping App’, which allows users to search for various books online, view titles, purchase, and share with friends on social media platforms. The app also keeps its users updated about a range of cultural events and news.

In addition, TCA will be launching the ‘GIS Map Viewer‘ and the ‘Visit Abu Dhabi App’ , which are considered the easiest and most user-friendly way to explore everything that the Emirate has to offer from attractions to culture and heritage, and from hotels and restaurants to spas and malls through the best available maps provided by Adsic.

Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) will introduce several initiatives including the ‘Enterprise Business Intelligence’ which offers enterprise dashboards, performance reporting and KPI monitoring and functional reporting across multiple platforms. ADEC will also introduce a new ‘Disaster Recovery’ site, which is designed to provide high levels of continuity and availability in the case of disasters and unforeseen loss of services in order to effectively protect students. Finally, ADEC will also launch the ‘Enterprise Student Information System’ (eSIS), which offers students, parents, administrators and teachers access to real time student information.

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) will launch an app which offers the general public essential information on its locations, facility closures, product withdrawals, as well as other public safety matters.

Abu Dhabi Department of Finance (DOF) will highlight the ‘Abu Dhabi ERP System’, which is an electronic shared device that allows Government entities to manage their
internal and external resources by centralising reporting capabilities, and in turn assist the Abu Dhabi Government in achieving its ‘2030 Vision’ through highly organised and systematic data-collecting methods.

DOF will also launch the ‘Customs Operation System’ to provide information on custom affairs, operations and risk management, in addition to the ‘Military Pension and ‘Custom Mobile Smart Application’, in order to offer services to customers over mobile phones. – TradeArabia News Service
