Application for RUU355 rally at Dataran Merdeka rejected – Sin Chew Jit Poh

PETALING JAYA, Jan 20 (MySinchew) — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has in a letter dated January 13 rejected PAS’ application to hold the RUU355 rally at Dataran Merdeka on February 18.

PAS deputy president cum RUU355 rally organizing chairman Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said in statement today that the party would appeal against the DBKL decision and hoped the rally could be held peacefully there.

He said the DBKL did not offer any reason for rejecting the application.

“Dataran Merdeka is a historical landmark of this country that symbolizes mutual respect among Malaysians of all races as well as religious freedom.

“We think the rally should be held there.”
