A new film that tries to marry Bollywood beats with Kung Fu moves is set to release next month.

“Kung Fu Yoga,” which stars martial-arts legend Jackie Chan in the lead role and lesser known Bollywood actors Sonu Sood and Disha Patani is set for release on Feb. 3, according to the production company’s Facebook page.

The film was supposed to be a full-fledged joint venture between the biggest names of Bombay and Beijing’s film companies, after a deal was signed by representatives of both countries when China’s President Xi Jinping visited India in 2014.

But the giants pulled out in October 2015, when Indian entertainment company Viacom 18 Media Pvt. Ltd. said that it had decided to call off the movie project because it couldn’t agree on terms.

The film’s trailer shows Mr. Chan driving a car with a lion in the backseat.

“Everybody get your act together, because this is now Kung Fu,” sings a man in an American accent as Mr. Chan and the crew groove to Bollywood-style beats.
