Chase Lochmiller, CEO and co-founder of Crusoe, highlighted the company’s mission: “We believe a new approach is needed to power the AI revolution. To reduce complexity, accelerate time-to-value, and support the most demanding AI solutions, customers need a vertically integrated approach. We are able to innovate faster and bring new, state-of-the-art capacity online in a fraction of the time compared to legacy cloud providers while delivering unmatched results for customers, making the promises of AI a reality.”

In conjunction with the funding announcement, Crusoe has launched the general availability of Crusoe Cloud, a high-performance cloud platform tailored for AI and machine learning workloads. Developers and data scientists can now access Crusoe Cloud’s cutting-edge resources, managed services, and enterprise-grade support for AI exploration, model training, fine-tuning, and scalable inference workloads.

The Series D funding will support Crusoe’s expansion and growth across its value chain, including the development of data centers and the enhancement of Crusoe Cloud. This strategic investment positions Crusoe to meet the escalating demand for AI infrastructure, providing scalable and efficient solutions for the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Crusoe’s commitment to aligning the future of computing with environmental sustainability is evident in its focus on clean energy solutions. By harnessing large-scale clean energy, Crusoe aims to provide an environmentally aligned solution for AI infrastructure, addressing the growing energy demands of AI workloads while minimizing environmental impact.

The successful closure of this funding round underscores the confidence investors have in Crusoe’s vision and its potential to revolutionize AI infrastructure. With the backing of prominent investors and a clear focus on innovation and sustainability, Crusoe is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI infrastructure.

As the AI industry continues to experience rapid growth, the demand for efficient and scalable infrastructure solutions is more critical than ever. Crusoe’s vertically integrated approach, combining clean energy utilization with AI-optimized data centers, positions the company to effectively meet this demand, providing robust solutions that cater to the needs of AI developers and enterprises alike.

The infusion of $600 million in capital will enable Crusoe to accelerate its expansion plans, bringing new data centers online and enhancing its cloud platform to support a broader range of AI and machine learning applications. This growth is expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of AI technologies, providing the necessary infrastructure to support innovation in the field.

Crusoe’s strategic focus on integrating clean energy into its infrastructure solutions not only addresses the environmental challenges associated with AI computing but also offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional cloud providers. By leveraging abundant and low-cost clean energy sources, Crusoe is able to deliver high-performance AI infrastructure solutions that are both economically and environmentally sustainable.

The participation of industry giants such as NVIDIA in this funding round highlights the strategic importance of Crusoe’s solutions in the broader AI ecosystem.
