Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, in partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre, has successfully concluded a series of 12 international roadshows aimed at promoting Expand North Star, the largest global event for startups and investors, set to take place from October 13-16 in Dubai Harbour.
The roadshows spanned cities across Poland, India, Brazil, China, Morocco, France, Switzerland, the UK, and the Netherlands, engaging with over 1,500 startups. The initiative was designed to foster partnerships with ecosystem stakeholders such as venture capital firms, incubators, accelerators, and government-backed entities, with the objective of attracting high-potential companies to Dubai.
Each roadshow featured presentations highlighting business opportunities in Dubai and the support offered by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy for startups looking to expand into the Dubai market. The events also included a pitch competition, where winners from each city earned a fully sponsored visit and participation in Expand North Star.
Expand North Star, organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, is a key platform that connects startups with innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, and global success story founders. This event aims to explore growth opportunities in Dubai and catalyze the future of the digital economy. Last year’s edition attracted more than 1,600 startups, including 52 unicorns, and over 850 investors managing assets worth $1 trillion.
The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy’s efforts align with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), aiming to transform Dubai into one of the world’s leading digital economies. The chamber’s strategy focuses on establishing Dubai as a global hub for innovation and advanced technologies, driving sustainable economic growth and development.
Through these roadshows and the upcoming Expand North Star event, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a central player in the global tech and startup ecosystem, providing a vibrant platform for networking, innovation, and collaboration.
