Dubai Parks and Resorts opens with grand ceremony – video

Dubai Parks and Resorts, the new tourism destination made up of three separate theme parks, a water park, a dining and retail district and a Polynesian-themed family hotel covering 30.6 million square feet, officially opened on Sunday.

The destination includes Legoland Dubai, the Hollywood-inspired Motionate Dubai and Bollywood Parks, the world’s first Bollywood theme park based on some of its biggest blockbusters. The entire destination is connected by Riverland Dubai.

The inauguration of Dubai Parks and Resorts was attended by more than 1,500 people, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai.
