dubai outscores all US cities|By TAP Staff| Dubai Healthcare Authority has joined hands with Emirates Holidays, Dubai Immigration, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and other stakeholders to offer medical tourism packages.

The packages will be launched in October as part of ambitious plans for the emirate to become one of the world’s most popular destinations. The details will be announced during the first Health Regulations Conference in Dubai which will take place on October 22-23, according to Dr Ramadan Ibrahim, director of health regulation and medical tourism at the Dubai Health Authority.

The packages are part of the first phase of a DHA initiative, which will run until 2016, and will see the launch of a dedicated portal for medical tourism.

A second phase to 2020 will aim to further develop facilities and branding to put Dubai firmly on the global medical tourism map.
