According to news agency WAM, the State Security Chamber of the Federal Supreme Court handed down the sentence to the 21-year-old, identified only as KAM.

The court also ordered the Emirati to be placed under observation after serving his jail term.

WAM reported that the Abu Dhabi Court of Appeals had previously sentenced him to one year in jail, but the state security prosecutor challenged the verdict and referred the case.
