According to Sharjah Police, the motorist also appeared to have spray painted his Toyota 4×4 car in an attempt to prevent it from being identified.

The footage shows the driver precariously navigating on two-wheels and steering around another car on a highway.

Officers said they managed to track down the man behind the wheel some time later.

Col Ahmad Saeed Al Naour, Acting Director of the Traffic and Patrol Department at Sharjah Police, said: “The driver had intended to drive his car without a number plate. Also, the driver covered his car to look different in the video and in order that he would not be identified by police.”

Police said the driver admitted performing the stunt for wedding guests.
