United Arab Emirates, June 2014 – GL Events exhibitions, the organizer of Piscine Middle East exhibition has confirmed the attendance of 2 800 visitors during the second edition of Piscine Middle East held in Abu Dhabi from the 22-24th of April. Most part of these visitors was architects, developers and key buyers specialized in pool and spa industry. The event hosted visitors from 50 different countries. 88% of the visitors were from the UAE.
Almost 100 brands and 31 companies from around the world have gathered in Abu Dhabi for “Piscine Middle East”, which was held in colocation with “CityScape Abu Dhabi 2014”, the trade show was highly successful among Emiratis who came to discover the standards and prices for building pools in private villas and touristic resorts.
According to Noémi Petit, Piscine Middle East show director, the swimming pool market in the United Arab Emirates has increased approximately by 10 to 15% yearly due to the booming of UAE real estate market in addition to the improvement of citizens’ living standards.
For his part, Mr. Steve Stigers, Senior International Sales Manager at Hot Spring, said that the exhibition was well attended and that they received many inquiries regarding prices and designs. Stigers expects growth of the market by 15% over the coming three to five years in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East in general.
The last couple years have been an exercise in optimism for the pool and spa industry. Gl Events exhibition took the advantage to launch the second edition of Piscine Middle East in Abu Dhabi to connect international suppliers with local partners. Indeed, the show gathered many companies such as developers, contractors and service providers in Equipment and pool accessories, involved in maintenance, filtration, protection security, construction installation, outdoor living pool, Health and wellness of the pool industry to meet the local demand.
To serve the industry’s needs, Gl Events Exhibitions banded together professionals from: United Arab Emirates, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, South Corea, Spain, United Kingdom and United States.
Exporting a B2B trade show such as Piscine Global into Piscine Middle East is a key focus of Group development in support of its strategy related to an international expansion. This exhibition is considered as the leading exhibition for swimming pool and spa equipment and infrastructure in the region, said Noemi Petit, the show director.
For the first time in the Middle East, GL Events also introduced the winners of “The pool Vision award for 2014”, organized in partnership with ArchiEurop Group.
Swimming pool projects have been selected from many countries around the world and judged from technical and aesthetic standpoints, water treatment, coverings, accessories, spas.
