Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, UN Office for Counter-Terrorism enhance collaboration

MADRID, 12th June, 2023 (WAM) — Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), and Ignacio Ibáez Ferrandez, Head of the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism, in Madrid, discussed ways to strengthen collaboration.During the meeting, Al-Jarwan highlighted the Council’s efforts in supporting and promoting a culture of peace, peaceful coexistence, equality, and tolerance through several channels, most notably diplomacy, parliamentary work, education, and international cooperation, by establishing strong partnerships with various institutions concerned.Ferrandez praised the GCTP’s efforts to foster a culture of tolerance, peace, and peaceful coexistence among the world’s peoples. He also hailed the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) for its efforts in promoting and encouraging tolerance around the world. Ferrandez thanked Al Jarwan for his interest in strengthening collaboration between the Council and the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism, and its various institutions and offices in Madrid.
