Global medical technology business, Siemens Healthineers, has partnered with Middle Eastern investors to establish its first entity in the UAE.
The business said it has joined forces with Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group and Electro Mechanical Co to expand its footprint to the UAE.
Siemens Healthineers offers medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics and advanced medical services, consulting and healthcare IT services in the region.
The partnership comes at a time the UAE government is encouraging cross-sectoral collaboration to advance its rapidly growing infrastructure and attract global investment.
Kay Zwingenbeger, managing director of Siemens Healthineers in Middle East and Africa, said the company has been established in the region to meet the gap in healthcare needs, and contribute to the market which is expected to grow 12.7 percent by 2020.
“With the inevitable transformation of the healthcare industry and increasing challenges that healthcare providers face, it is imperative as technology providers to be well-equipped in responding to changes in trends and paradigm shifts,” said Zwingenbeger.
