Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2017, was an intergalactic rollercoaster ride from start to finish, featuring a complete range of emotions, laser blasters, all kinds of love, a living planet, and Baby Groot.
How such a crazy combination of elements works in a film is beyond comprehension, but the chaos is exactly what makes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 better than its predecessor.
The Guardians Of The Galaxy Are Back
The ragtag crew known as the Guardians of the Galaxy is back. Peter Quill or Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt, once again teams up with Gamora, played by Zoe Saldana; Drax the Destroyer, played by Dave Bautista; Rocket Raccoon, voiced by Bradley Copper; and Baby Groot, voiced by Vin Diesel.
While the first movie brought the five misfits together to beat Ronan and retrieve the Power Stone, one of the Infinity Stones in the Marvel Universe, the second movie places the Guardians of the Galaxy in an entirely new adventure against an even more daunting opponent. First reactions from press screenings painted a great picture for the film, and it does not disappoint.
Emotions Everywhere For The Guardians
One of the most noticeable aspects of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the complete range of emotions that the film will make the audience feel while watching the movie. There are instances when viewers will be laughing their hearts out in one scene, shedding tears in the next one, and then sitting on the edge of their seats for an adrenaline-pumping sequence.
This goes on for the whole movie, intertwined with the developments in the relationships between the characters and their newfound friends and enemies. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is far from being a mindless action movie, as it builds up the team in preparation for their upcoming battle with Thanos alongside the Avengers. There are also a few surprises scattered throughout the movie’s plot, which both hardcore Marvel fans and casual viewers will appreciate. One of these surprises that has been previously revealed is that Quill will finally meet his father, played by Kurt Russell.

Baby Groot has to be one of the most adorable characters who has ever appeared on the big screen. Baby Groot simply steals the scene whenever he is present. A talking tree being the major draw of any other movie might raise questions on how good the film is, but that is not the case for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the series has established its identity as the most fun franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The colorful characters, both literally and figuratively, create a dynamic that makes them simply unforgettable.
The movie comes with a very high recommendation as a must-watch film. For those who will be able to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, remember that the movie is continuing the MCU tradition of inserting scenes as the credits roll, with a total of five mid-credits and post-credits scenes.
