A new survey revealed that Apple’s iPhone maintains its place at the top of holiday lists as the most wanted gift. With the holidays fast approaching, it’s time to update you on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus availability and wait times at Apple online and at retail stores.

Almost immediately after Apple opened up presales of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Sept. 9, virtually all models were spoken for by Apple’s loyal iPhone base, even though analysts predicted for months that the new iPhones would receive a lukewarm response due to its lack of new design and unexciting features.

In late September, we reported that sources claimed iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus availability would improve by Oct. 8. While inventory of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 in most colors, carriers and configurations showed signs of greater availability, the same could not be said about the more in demand 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus.

By the time Halloween came around, we once again checked out iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus availability. All colors, storage sizes and carrier configurations for the iPhone 7 significantly improved, with most in stock online and in Apple retail stores. The iPhone 7 Plus on the other hand, remained as elusive as it has since it first began shipping on Sept. 16.
