LG Stylo Plus 2 Spotted Running Android 7.0 Nougat, Update Coming Soon?

The LG Stylo Plus 2 which was launched in April 2016 has been spotted on a benchmarking site running the Android 7.0 Nougat update, suggesting that it could arrive soon.

A week ago the news of the LG smartphone receiving the Android update was in the air after network carrier T-Mobile confirmed that the LG Stylo Plus 2 would be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

However, later the network operator wiped out all references of the Android N update from the software update page of LG Stylo Plus 2 and later confirmed that it would be selling the handset with Android Marshmallow operating system only.

Now, the smartphone has been listed on Geekbench and is running the Android 7.0 Nougat OS to boot.

The Geekbench Listing

Per the listing on Geekbench, the LG Stylo Plus 2, with the model number LGE LG-K350, is seen having a single-core sore of 581 and a multi-core score of 2027.

The Geekbench listing date has been given as March 4, 2017, and based on it, users would be hoping that an Android 7.0 Nougat update for the handset will be launched in the coming weeks.

LG Stylo Plus 2: Specs And Features

The LG Stylo Plus 2 comes with a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The handset comes packed with the an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB of RAM. The device currently runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The smartphone also sports a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing snapper. The LG Stylo Plus 2 has an onboard storage memory of 16 GB, which is expandable to an additional 2TB.

The device is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery, provides up to 20 hours of talk time and 19 days of standby time. The LG Stylus Plus 2, also comes with a stylus that supports writing, sketching, doodling, or captioning. Another useful feature of this phablet is its Screen Off Memo.

The feature Screen Off Memo enables the user to instantly write down notes or ideas on the phone’s screen without turning it on. One just has to pull out the stylus in order to activate this feature. This unique feature has also been incorporated in Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S3 as well.

For the safety of data, the LG smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner, which allows one to keep their device secured and ensures no compromise on the privacy of the user.

Price 

The T-Mobile variant of the LG Stylo Plus 2, comes at a price of $240. Those who want to purchase the handset under the instalment plan need to pay $0 down and subsequently $10 monthly for 24 months. The phablet is also avaiable in MetroPCS, Verizon and LG’s official online store.
