The eight-division world champion has previously held talks about having a bout hosted in the UAE, and now it looks like it will finally happen in Abu Dhabi, despite mixed messages in the media.

The fight, which will be against Australian fighter Jeff Horn, was due to take place at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and promoters there have insisted it will still take place there.

However, Pacquiao himself has posted the same message on his social media accounts announcing that the upcoming bout will take place in the UAE:  “See you in UAE for my next fight.”

The fight was also confirmed by Pacquiao’s advisor Michael Koncz, with a date of April 22 slated for the fight.
