Modi alleges INDIA bloc bid to finish Sanatan Dharma

Taking a dig at the newly formed opposition bloc INDIA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said those who are losing elections have so much hate that they are now opposing “your culture” and have decided to finish sanatan sanskriti.

“From (Mahatma) Gandhi to Swami Vivekananda from Ahilyabai to Mirabai, for thousands of years, Sanatan Dharma inspired everyone. The ‘INDI Alliance’ wants to finish off this sanatan sanskriti and people of Chhattisgarh should beware of them… They want to finish thousands of years of Indian culture. Ye Bharat ko mitana chahte hain (they want to finish off Bharat),” he said at the BJP’s ‘Shankhnaad’ rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh.

The prime minister said the BJP government at the Centre will leave no stone unturned in Chhattisgarh’s progress if voted to power as the Congress, which was the ruling party at present, had done nothing for the development of the state. He slammed the Bhupesh Baghel-led state government for its corruption-laden rule and enumerated a number of alleged scams that had taken place in its regime.

“We want our tribal population to benefit from central schemes and will leave no stone unturned for the state’s progress if voted to power. The corrupt Congress government in the state has done nothing for its development. The Congress had promised to eradicate poverty but had it worked towards that, Modi won’t have had to work so hard to achieve this aim,” he said at the public gathering held in Raigarh.

He added: “We wanted to extend benefits of the PM Awas Yojana to Chhattisgarh, but the Congress government is not allowing it. The ‘scam politics’ that the Congress is indulging in, it only benefits their leaders. Imagine if someone can do a scam in cow dung, then what will be their mentality? The Congress used minerals of the state as their own personal ATM. Fake publicity and corruption is the identity of the Congress government and the BJP’s track record is right in front of you.”

The PM said during Indira Gandhi’s time, the Congress promised to remove poverty but had they done their work properly, then “Modi would not have been forced to put in so much effort”.

Before the rally, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated rail sector projects, laid the foundation stone of ‘critical care’ blocks in nine districts and distributed one lakh sickle cell counselling cards at a function organised by the state government. After the function, he held a roadshow on his way to the BJP rally.
