Rumors suggest that the Moto G5 handset could possibly get a new hue, which may excite smartphone lovers.
Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its flagship smartphones Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February this year. The two smartphones were launched in two colors, namely Lunar Gray and Fine Gold.
Moto G5: New Color Coming?
The Moto G5 is possibly gearing up to add a blue shade to the available color options. Tipster Roland Quandt has shared the supposed offical image of the Moto G5 in the rumored Blue Sapphire option.
Quandt shared the image on Twitter and the picture shows the Moto G5 donning the rumored color. The bezels in the front panel of the phone are still black per the leaked image. The rear casing of the smartphone is in blue, which gives the phone a more stylish and unified look.

The leaked picture reveals that the side buttons of the phone are in blue and the earpiece speaker has blue hues near its edges. These images also portray the slightly curved back panel of the phone.
There have been no other updates about the speculated blue variant of Moto G5. It likely that the price may be the same as the Lunar Gray and Fine Gold variants of the mobile phone.
Other Blue-Colored Smartphones
The Moto G5 is not the only smartphone that will don a blue hue. Currently, there are several smartphones that are available in this color.
One such smartphone is the Honor 8 which also comes in the Sapphire Blue option. This is a deep shade of blue and has a luminescent glow whenever light falls on it.
The Galaxy S7 edge from Samsung is also available in a dark blue hue. The blue color looks attractive with the gold trim on the handset’s edges. This Blue Coral option was introduced by Samsung in November 2016 and the company “applied a contrasting gold tone hue to the phone’s metallic frame. The resulting two-toned combination is at once calming and sophisticated.”
The Google Pixel is also available in a Really Blue option. While deciding on the color name for the blue option, the product team at Google did not wish to use clichéd names and chose Really Blue as it was more identifiable with the brand.
The shade of the Royal Blue variant can reportedly change from the jewel-toned bright royal blue to a rich cobalt, depending on how the smartphone catches the light.
