In what could probably be the most outlandish concept for a dating simulation game ever, My Horse Prince has gamers play through an anime-style visual novel on the romance between a girl and a horse with a boy’s face.
Yes, you read that right. Not even a majestic centaur, but literally a horse with its face replaced by that of a boy. You can’t make stuff like this up.
My Horse Prince, The Dating Sim
Originally known as Uma no Prince-sama before it was translated into English, the game allows the player to take on the role of Umako, a young woman who heads to a ranch in a bid to find the love of her life, as she had been unlucky in the city.
Waiting for Umako at the ranch is Yuuma, the human-faced horse (or horse-bodied boy?) who captures the heroine’s heart.
Each episode of My Horse Prince starts with a segment that shows a problem that Umako is facing with Yuuma. Afterwards, the visual novel transforms into a clicker game that allows players to accomplish tasks by keeping on tapping items that appear onscreen. Each tap, however, lowers Yuuma’s energy, which can be refilled by pressing the Talk button to have Umako engage in conversation with the horse boy.
Once the task is finished, the chapter will conclude and the game will move on to the next segment.
The Bizarre Scenarios In My Horse Prince
The game is repetitive in design, but gamers will find themselves hooked due to the bizarre situations that Umako and Yuuma will find themselves in.
Scenarios that can be found in My Horse Prince include having Yuuma running on a treadmill, chopping green onions and even surfing. The game begins with Umako feeding carrots to Yuuma, and before long, the two are living together with the horse boy making his girlfriend breakfast.

My Horse Prince is available for both iOS and Android devices, and is free to download. The game comes with in-app purchases though, in the form of $0.99 to remove all the advertisements in the game, and $0.99 for the Golden Carrot and $1.99 for the Golden Horseshoes, which will help players speed through the clicker portions of My Horse Prince.
If you are looking for a hilarious game that can be played in short intervals, My Horse Prince is a great choice. The concept is downright absurd, but you will be surprised on how the game keeps the joke going.
