She was stopped by police in Al Muraqabat in September. A female officer searched her and found the drugs in the palm of her hand wrapped in a tissue.

The woman said a friend asked her to supply him with Dh300 worth of drugs. He later increased the amount to Dh1,000.

The nanny secured the drugs from a friend and went out to deliver them when police stopped and arrested her.

A urine sample from the woman showed traces of drugs.

She denied a charge of possession of drugs with intent to sell and told the court they were for her own use. She also confessed to drug consumption.

The next hearing will be on December 15.
