Nintendo Switch Leaks Continue: Launch Games Lineup, 'Pokémon Stars' Confirmation, 'The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild' Skin, And More

Gamers who are looking forward to the Nintendo Switch will finally know all the details on the upcoming hybrid console on Jan. 12, through a presentation by Nintendo that will be livestreamed for the whole world to watch.

In advance of the official presentation, the rumor mill has been busy churning out reports and leaks for the Nintendo Switch, including the lineup of games available upon the hybrid console’s launch, the confirmation of Pokémon Stars, a skin based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and more.

Nintendo Switch Launch Games Lineup

A GoNintendo report supposedly shows the lineup of titles that will be available upon the launch of Nintendo Switch, with the list acquired from the database of GameStop Germany.

Among the games listed in the leaked lineup are Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, NBA 2K17, Skyrim, and a new Mario game, which were shown in the announcement trailer of the Nintendo Switch. Also among the launch games are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a Sonic game, Dragon Quest X, Dragon Quest XI, Lego City Undercover, Just Dance 2017, and perhaps the most surprising title on the list, a Monster Hunter game.

The games are shown to have a March 19 release date, which would hint that the Nintendo Switch will be launched on that day, at least for Germany. There are also several placeholder items in the listing shown in the photo, hinting that there are still some launch titles coming to the Nintendo Switch that have been kept as a secret.

Pokémon Stars For Nintendo Switch Confirmed?

Another leak from GameStop, this time from its North American operations, has seemingly confirmed that there will also be a Pokémon game coming to the Nintendo Switch.

A description for the Nintendo Switch, which has since been taken down, said that players of the console will be able to play Pokémon at home as they would be able to play Skyrim on the go.

There has been so far no confirmed Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch, but there were rumors from last year that Pokémon Stars is coming to the hybrid console in 2017. Not much is known about the new game, though it will likely be an offshoot of the latest Pokémon games, Pokémon Sun and Moon.

The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Skin For Nintendo Switch

A Twitter user leaked several pages of an internal document said to belong to game accessory company Hori. The pages contain working concepts for several products related to the Nintendo Switch.

One of the more notable contents of the leaked pages is a skin for the hybrid console that is based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This is even better news for fans of the Zelda series, as it adds to previous reports that Breath of the Wild will indeed be among the launch date lineup of the Nintendo Switch.

Another tidbit acquired from the leaked document is that the Nintendo Switch will have a fighting controller with a proper joystick and arcade buttons, which will also be available upon the hybrid console’s launch.

Official Nintendo Switch Details

As the rumors and leaks on the Nintendo Switch continue to pile up, it becomes increasingly difficult to tell which reports are fake and which ones are authentic. Fortunately, the Jan. 12 presentation is just around the corner, so gamers will know all the official details for the upcoming hybrid console in a short while.
