OMA Emirates implements Ingenio terminal for NBO

OMA Emirates, a provider of cutting edge technology for the payment industry, has implemented its Ingenico Point of Sales (POS) solution for National Bank of Oman (NBO).

The technologically advanced payment terminal from Ingenico used by OMA Emirates – Solution Gulf that works on multi communication protocol will make it possible for mobile and counter top applications of the terminals, which enables the bank to maximise transaction efficiency and speed while also being able to provide a range of additional services to its customers in a secure transaction environment.

The new POS terminal equipped with smart card readers will provide the option to read magnetic stripe cards and contactless technology and is capable of future upgrades to keep up with the changing customer requirements.

The solution will also facilitate increased business opportunities by enabling National Bank of Oman to take advantage of the multi-application capabilities to facilitate services which include instalment/loan option, dynamic currency convertor, loyalty programmes, mobile prepaid, etc, all on one device.

The integration of the electronic cash register (ECR) system with the multi-application environment will provide National Bank of Oman the leading edge to constantly drive the acquiring business.
