One injured after fire at fisherman’s port

One person was injured and three Adnoc pumps were destroyed after a fire broke out on Friday night on a small pier servicing boaters near the fishermen’s port in Abu Dhabi.

Charred remains of the houseboat could be seen floating around the burnt Adnoc station on Saturday. A thick yellow cable floating in the water cordoned off the area to nearby boaters.

Witnesses said the fire started around 8pm or 9pm and at least one person sustained injuries to his hands and legs. The fire is under police investigation, according to an Adnoc employee.
