JERLUN: The ability of the government to resolve Malaysia’s diplomatic crisis with North Korea frightens the opposition as it will give an advantage to Prime Minister Najib Razak.

In saying this, Umno information chief Annuar Musa added: “What is positive for the government is bad news for the opposition and what is bad news for the government is good news for the opposition.”

“This is normal,” he told reporters at the Jerlun division Umno Veterans annual general meeting at Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Tanjung, Padang Sera, here today.

He said the burden of the issue between Malaysia and North Korea should be shared by the people in the country, regardless of political differences.

“This issue is not just a party issue, as harped by certain quarters, but it involves the sovereignty of the country and must be resolved together.

“We have to be firm in our actions because the crime happened in our country, Malaysia,” he said.
