Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino is set to visit Saudi Arabia on May 11-12 as part of the General Entertainment Authority schedule for 2017, which aims to boost the kingdom’s entertainment and film sector.
The event titled “An Evening with Pacino,” will take place in Riyadh and then Dammam.
It will see Pacino share rare backstage stories and inner workings of his personal projects with a live audience as well as conduct a Q&A session as part of the festivities.
The 77-year-old actor is known best for his role in Godfather and Scarface.
Oprah Winfrey will also visit Saudi Arabia as part of the same programme. It is reported she will be in the kingdom in Jeddah in September and Riyadh in December, where she will take part in an all-female talk show to share the challenges she faced in her career.
Winfrey is, of course, known for hosting her own talk show for more than two decades.
She also received an Oscar nomination for her role in Steven Spielberg’s film ‘The Color Purple’.
As part of its program, Saudi Arabia is scheduled to bring other entertainment events and celebrities in 2017, including Cirque du Soleil, Russian Grand Circus of Moscow and Indian-American novelist Deepak Chopra.
