ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Spokesman Musadik Malik Monday said that the premier has not sought any exemption from the Supreme Court.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday evening, Malik said that double standards in PTI Chief Imran Khan’s character can be gauged from the fact that during hearing of a case in past, he had adopted the stance that any matter prior to his election to the parliament cannot affect his membership of the National Assembly.
He said what an irony it is that Imran Khan wants Prime Minister’s trial on the basis of some 50-year old transactions.
Speaking on the occasion, Daniyal Aziz said Imran Khan is doing politics by maligning institutions and their heads.
He said, Imran Khan has sought apology from the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Supreme Court, and former caretaker chief minister of Punjab Najam Sethi for hurling unfounded allegations and using inappropriate language against them.
He said the ECP has sought detail of the donations collected in the United States and whose information is available with US Justice Department.
He claimed on the documents available on the website of US Justice Department Imran Khan has declared that he is going to collect donations to dislodge government in Pakistan.
