ABU DHABI // The President, Sheikh Khalifa, led congratulations for King Mohammed VI of Morocco on the anniversary of his accession to the throne, known as Throne Day.
Sheikh Khalifa sent a congratulatory cable to King Mohammed VI of Morocco, as did Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Rulers of other emirates, including Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, did likewise.
King Mohammed VI took the throne on July 30, 1999, after the death of his father, King Hassan II, on July 23.
