Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Gets Wi-Fi Certification, Gearing Up For Launch?

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017), the successor of the 2016 model, is in the news again and this time it has been spotted receiving Wi-Fi certification.

The impending smartphone was spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) and its appearance has once again fueled rumors of a launch being in the pipeline.

The Galaxy J7 (2017) was spotted on the WFA bearing the model number SM-JN30FM/DS, which suggests that this could possibly be the dual-SIM variant.

What Does The Listing Reveal?

The Wi-Fi certification listing was spotted by GSMArena and it does not detail any other information on the Galaxy J7 (2017), barring that it will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Galaxy J7 (2017): What’s The Story So Far?

The Galaxy J7 (2017) has already received Bluetooth certification, as well as clearance from the FCC.

This is not the first time that the impending Samsung martphone has surfaced online. The handset was spotted on Geekbench earlier in January, which offered a peek into the features of the rumored device.

Earlier in February, the U.S. variant of the smartphone leaked on GFXBench. However, this handset bore the model number SM-J727VL. Moreover, rumors are also rampant that the Galaxy J7 (2017) will be making its way to the U.S. on Verizon Wireless, albeit as Galaxy J7 V.

Samsung Galaxy J7: Rumored Specs

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) is likely to sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels.

The smartphone may house a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, clocked at 1.4GHz and will offer 2 GB of RAM, as well as an internal memory of 16 GB which may be expandable. The handset is also anticipated to support a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. The next-gen smartphone is likely to be powered by 3000mAh battery.

Release

Since the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) has received FCC clearance, the impending smartphone will be introduced in the U.S. Now that it has both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications in its kitty, the Galaxy J7 (2017’s) debut does not seem far away.

Major carriers in the U.S. are expected to offer the handset but it could come under different monikers. Rumors suggest that Tracfone may retail the handset under the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro name. Verizon Wireless is rumored to launch the Galaxy J7 (2017) on April 10 and other network operators may follow suit. The smartphone is also expected to be made available by AT&T; however, there is no information on the device’s pricing.
