His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and Honorary President of the ATI, presided over the opening ceremony.

The inauguration marks a new chapter for the ATI, a premier institution dedicated to promoting and developing Arab theater. The institute, established in 2006, has played a pivotal role in nurturing Arab theatrical talent and fostering a vibrant theatrical scene in the region.

The impressive new headquarters, constructed in the traditional Emirati architectural style, reflects a harmonious blend of heritage and modern functionality. The building boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, rehearsal spaces, a theater, and a library. These amenities will provide students and professionals with a world-class environment to hone their craft and explore the multifaceted world of theater.

The ceremony witnessed dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and representatives from the Arab theater community gather to celebrate this momentous occasion. In his inaugural address, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi emphasized the significance of the ATI in preserving and enriching Arab theatrical traditions.
