Sony Xperia X Smartphone Drops To $299.99 On Amazon, $100 Off Its Regular Pricing

The unlocked Sony Xperia X is now available at an attractive price point on Amazon, shedding 25 percent off its regular price to retail at $299.99.

The smartphone launched back in June as a capable midranger, promising a more-than-decent performance without breaking the bank. At that point, the Sony Xperia X launched at a $549.99 price point, but it got more affordable in the meantime.

Amazon is now offering the unlocked Xperia X at an even lower price, shaving $100 off the $399.99 price tag it usually charges for the handset. This means the Sony Xperia X is available at just $299.99 on Amazon, but take your desired carrier into account before proceeding with the purchase.

GSM/ LTE Unlocked Sony Xperia X

The Xperia X discounted on Amazon is a GSM/ LTE model, which means that it will play nice with GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile. However, if you’re planning to buy a smartphone for use on a CDMA carrier such as Sprint or Verizon Wireless, this won’t do the trick. The unlocked GSM/ LTE Xperia X will not work with Verizon or Sprint.

Amazon is offering all four Xperia X color options at the discounted price, so interested customers can buy the smartphone in Black, White, Rose Gold and Lime Gold.

Sony Xperia X Specs

As previously mentioned, the Sony Xperia X is designed as a capable midranger, so don’t expect top-notch specs worthy of a flagship. Nevertheless, the smartphone is pretty powerful for its category, and the camera department alone can easily set it apart from the crowd.

As a reminder, the Sony Xperia X features a 5-inch IPS display with a full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and runs on a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor paired with Adreno 510 graphics and 3 GB of RAM. Other specs include 32 GB of internal storage space, expandable via microSD, a decent 2,620 mAh battery, a 23-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel selfie cam.

“The Xperia X comes equipped with some intuitive camera features like Quick Startup, Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, and a dedicated camera button that lets you catch even the most unexpected moments in the blink of an eye,” says Sony.

The Sony Xperia X currently runs Android Marshmallow, but it’s getting a taste of the latest Android Nougat flavor via Sony’s Concept for Android.

To get the unlocked Sony Xperia X at a discounted $299.99 price point, head over to Amazon’s product page. The retailer doesn’t mention when this offer will expire, but it may not last for long.
