
Standard Chartered Bank has officially launched its cryptocurrency custody services in the UAE, marking a significant step forward for the institution in the digital asset sector. The bank secured a digital asset custody license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the regulator of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), allowing it to offer storage and management solutions for cryptocurrencies, starting with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
