The highly anticipated Tekken 7 is officially set to launch this June on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

A June release is slightly later than the “early 2017” timeframe that was previously announced, but it’s still good to have official confirmation that the game is on track for a release in the first half of this year.

Coming as the next entry in the fighting franchise of Bandai Namco, Tekken 7 has already stirred great interest and anticipation is building up ahead of the big release on consoles and PC via Steam.

“Tekken 7 for home consoles and PCs represents the culmination of the highest levels of fighting game development, even surpassing its arcade counterpart by offering additional balance and fine tuning, the inclusion of a dramatic story mode, more characters, and the implementation of online tournament modes that are sure to ignite the fighting spirit amongst gamers around the world,” says Bandai Namco.

Tekken 7 Release

Tekken 7 will launch in the Americas on June 2 and will come with a range of special offers that aim to please existing Tekken fans as well as new players who are just trying out the series for the first time.

Bandai Namco has also released a new trailer to boost the hype, showing the long-standing battle between Kazuya Mishima and his father, Heihachi. Tekken 7 will mark the climax of this battle and players will have to tap into either “rage” or “sorrow” to carry it out.

Tekken 7 Special Offers

A Tekken 7 Collector’s Edition for PS4 and Xbox One will include a “spectacular statue” 12 x 18 inches in size showing Kayuza fighting Heichachi, the official Tekken soundtrack, and a special Steel Book.

A Tekken 7 Season Pass for PS4, Xbox One and Steam will offer access to three content packs with more content, including new stages, new playable characters, costume packs, a new game mode, and a bonus Metallic Costume Pack made of 35 pieces. Alternately, fans will also be able to purchase each DLC in the Season Pass separately.

A Tekken 7 Preorder Bonus is already available now for PS4, Xbox One and Steam for PC, offering DLC access to Eliza. Xbox One users will also get a free copy of Tekken 6 to maximize the Xbox One backward compatibility perk. Xbox One players will be able to get the special perks with a special Digital Xbox One preorder pack starting on Jan. 31 on the Xbox Store.

PS4 owners get their own treats as well, as the PS4 version of Tekken 7 will offer exclusive content such as legacy costumes from Tekken 4 and Tekken 2 for Kind, Jin and Xiaoyu, and a Jukebox Mode for Tekken music.

Lastly, a Tekken 7 Digital Deluxe Edition will include both the Tekken 7 game and the Season Pass, for PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
