Game of Thrones alum Iwan Rheon, who played literal and figurative bastard Ramsay Bolton, is heading to the Marvel universe for ABC’s new Inhumans series, it was announced Tuesday.

Sticking with type, Rheon will play the villain Maximus — aka “Maximus the Mad” — brother of lead character Black Bolt.

In the show, Maximus is described by Marvel as a clever and charming Inhuman that is fiercely devoted to the people of Attilan, especially his brother, the King – although he harbors an intense desire to wear the crown himself.

ABC’s Inhumans will premiere its first two episodes in Imax theaters for a two-week run before the series airs on television.

The characters debuted in Marvel comics canon in 1965 and were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD introduced the concept of Inhumans to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Season 2.

“Iwan’s ability to be charming, roguish, and still completely unexpectedly dangerous were all the different sides we needed to bring the character to life. We’re thrilled to have him on board,” said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television and Executive Producer on the series.

“Maximus is a complex character,” added executive producer and showrunner Scott Buck. “Likable, charming, tragic and villainous all in the same moment, and I’m very excited to have someone of Iwan’s considerable talent.”

The series is the third Marvel TV series to air on ABC, following the ongoing Agents of SHIELD and the cancelled Agent Carter. Inhumans is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.
