Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday in a big announcement declared to go solo in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Bengal and said that “Trinamool Congress (TMC) is not in touch with Congress as far as seats in the state are concerned”. The West Bengal Chief Minister added that the final decision on any kind of alliance will be taken after the poll results are declared.

“We are not in touch with Congress for Bengal. Let Congress fight on its own. We will fight on our own. The final decision will be taken post-Lok Sabha results,” Banerjee said.

The TMC Supremo’s decision to contest the Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal in all 42 constituencies came amid the ongoing tussle over the seat-sharing issue in the INDIA bloc.
