When Donald Trump was inaugurated Friday, people tuned in from across the world to watch.

In India, Devita Saraf, CEO of Vu Televisions, celebrated the event with a full-page advertisement in the Times of India—the country’s biggest English-language newspaper.

“Congratulations, Mr. President,” said the ad which was a photo of Mr. Trump and Ms. Saraf when they met at an event in Mumbai.

Ms. Saraf–whose company will have around $70 million in sales this year–said she has been harshly criticized by some people on social media and even friends who don’t approve of America’s new president.

But she has long been a Trump admirer, impressed by his ability to make money as well as his perseverance to win the election despite being seen by many as an unqualified underdog.

“I am inspired by his self-belief. No matter what people say, he stood up and he won,” said Ms. Saraf, who has contributed to the The Wall Street Journal. “You have to give him his due.”

She plans to have the advertisement–which ran on page one, before the news, on some editions of the newspaper—framed and sent to the White House.
