The UAE’s workers will get a three-day holiday to mark UAE National Day and Commemoration Day at the start of next month.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has announced that public and private sector worker will have a holiday from Thursday December 1 to Saturday December 3, giving one day off from the regular working week. Workers will return to work on Sunday December 4.

National Day in the UAE is December 2, which this year will commemorate the 45th anniversary since the founding of the UAE in 1971.

Commemoration Day, or Martyrs Day as it was first called, which was held for the first time last year on November 30, commemorates those who have died in service of the UAE.
