Temperatures across the country will range between 17°C and 28°C along the coast, 16°C and 29°C inland and between 11°C and 22°C in the mountains.

Moderate winds will be cooling but become strong at times over the sea and exposed areas, picking up dust and reducing visibility. Wind speeds may reach up to 50kph along the coast.

Conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman will be rough and are expected to remain that way throughout the weekend.

Similar conditions can be expected on Friday and Saturday as haze and scattered showers persist.

Forecasters said temperatures are expected to drop significantly on Saturday.
