UAE weather: Sudden spike in temperatures in the forecast

The National staff

ABU DHABI // Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy and hazy in general, with a sudden increase in temperatures.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said there will be moderate to fresh winds, and strong over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand in exposed areas.

In coastal areas, temperatures will reach a high of between 37°C and 41°C and a low of 22°C. Further inland, the maximum temperature will be high at 38°C and 43°C, and as low as 21°C

Relative humidity is likely to increase at night and in the early morning over some interior areas, especially in the mid-northern regions.

Those taking to the sea will have to be careful as conditions will be rough over the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough over the Oman Sea.

Similar conditions will persist over the next two days. On Tuesday, relative humidity will increase and fog and mist may form, forecasters predict.
