UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister Oversees Graduation Ceremony at Dihad Humanitarian College

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, witnessed the graduation ceremony of a new class of master’s degree holders at the Dihad Humanitarian College. The ceremony, held on Friday in Abu Dhabi, celebrated the academic achievements of students who had completed their postgraduate studies in various humanitarian fields.

Sheikh Saif’s presence at the graduation ceremony underscored the UAE’s commitment to fostering a new generation of humanitarian leaders. The Dihad Humanitarian College, established in 2019 under the patronage of the Emirates Red Crescent, has quickly become a prominent institution for specialized education in humanitarian response and disaster management.

In his address to the graduates, Sheikh Saif commended their dedication to pursuing humanitarian studies. He emphasized the growing importance of skilled professionals in navigating the complexities of modern humanitarian crises. The ceremony also saw speeches by Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, and Dr. Hamda Saif Al Shamsi, CEO of Dihad Humanitarian College. Dr. Al Falahi spoke about the critical role that humanitarian workers play in global emergencies, while Dr. Al Shamsi emphasized the college’s commitment to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective humanitarian practitioners.
