Chinese products have got highlights from the ongoing International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) that kicked off Sunday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Eight Chinese traders of military hardware are participating in this 13th edition of the five-day event, displaying planes, missile weapon systems, tanks, vessels, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), radar systems and other equipment in forms of weapon systems in kind and in models and videos.
A VT4 main battle tank, the latest of its series developed and produced by China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), has attracted many visitors from UAE, Algeria, Pakistan and other countries.
“China’s national defense industry ranks among the world’s best in ground forces equipment. Our development level is close to that of similar international companies. NORINCO is capable of providing clients with systemic and whole-range equipment for ground forces,” said NORINCO deputy head Zhao Xiaopeng.
China’s Poly Technologies Incorporation is displaying its Silent Hunter laser defense system, LDB-10 radar photoelectric integrated scout vehicle and land-to-land precision missile, FD-2000 long-range air defense missile system and China’s independently-developed 4th generation medium multi-purpose combat aircraft Gyrfalcon and UAV Wing Loong II drone.
“Poly aims to also bring China’s products of civilian use and civilian companies to the international arena and the nations along the Belt and Road to achieve the common peaceful development of China and these countries,” said Dai Ning, deputy general manager of Poly Technologies Incorporation.
The biennial IDEX has attracted 1,235 firms from 57 countries and regions, according to the organizer from Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC).
