Watch Dubai Crown Prince help pull stuck lorry out of the desert

Getting stuck in the desert is part of life for a motorist in Dubai and help is usually not far away.

For this lorry driver with a full payload of building sand, his rescuer just happened to be Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai.

In a video posted by Instagram user @adelabid1s, Sheikh Hamdan joins a string of vehicles to help move the tipper lorry out of the rut.

The first attempt sees the Crown Prince’s Mercedes-AMG G63 skid and slide and the rope snapping.

Sheikh Hamdan changes tact and advises the lorry driver to release some of the ballast. This does the trick and the lorry eventually moves freely.

The driver and Sheikh Hamdan shake hands and everyone is on their way.
