More than 20,000 camels are expected to be part of the annual camel beauty pageant during the Al Dhafra Festival – a celebration of Bedouin heritage that touches on four pillars of desert culture – camels, falconry, saluki and dates. Plus, experience a traditional souq market with produce and handicrafts, date-packaging competitions, a camel-milk contest, an Arabian horse race, a falcon beauty show, a classic cars competition and a special children’s area with playgrounds and games from the age of the Emirati forefathers.
