Attend the talk Horses: Symbol of Identity, as part of the Multaqa programme presented by Zayed National Museum. Learn about Arabian horses, which were exchanged as gifts between rulers as an expression of their mutual respect, specifically the Arabian horses of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan (Zayed the Great), who ruled Abu Dhabi between 1855-1909.

Register to attend Noche Flamenca’s Antigona, a retelling of Sophocles’ classic play through flamenco music and dance. In this performance about the feminine hero Antigone, acclaimed dancer Soledad Barrio depicts the battle between a disenfranchised woman and the patriarchy.

Vengeance stars Nicolas Cage as John Dromoor, a Gulf war veteran who seeks revenge against those who assaulted a single mother while her daughter witnessed it. Thriller, also starring Don Johnson, Anna Hutchison, Talitha Bateman and Debora Kara Unger.

Attend a concert by Russian-Algerian singer Sherazade and her band LavionRose presented by Alliance Française Dubai and featuring a blend of world music with a dash of rock, jazz, French and gypsy music. Sherazade’s vocals echo her life, at the crossroads of mixed cultures, and influenced by various genres, with lyrics in numerous languages.

Catch a screening of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol as part of the new DIFC Movie Nights series. The 2011 film stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg. Catch a screening of films presented by Cinema Akil as part of the Wednesdays at the Warehouse series at Warehouse421. The Tunisian short We Are Fine Just Like This directed by Mehdi M Barasoui is about an old man who spends some time at his daughter’s home, where things do not go as planned. The feature film is the Egyptian documentary, A Present from the Past, directed by Kawthar Younis. A father receives a trip to Rome from his daughter for his 75th birthday, where they travel to find his lost love. The documentary was filmed with hidden cameras and uses home videos to capture the father/daughter relationship.

Ras Al Khaimah
Register by tomorrow at noon to hike at Shawka, in Ras Al Khaimah, with Gulf 4 Good in partnership with the UAE Mountaineering Group. The 5.5-hour hike is suitable for all levels as it is easy to moderate, and goes through wadis and a camel farm.
