BMW just unveiled a pair of new M-tuned crossovers. The 2016 X5 M and X6 M both boast 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8s pushing 567 ponies and the old six-speed automatic has been replaced with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission from BMW M. They also got aesthetic updates: flared wheel arches, 21-inch M wheels, massive intakes in the front fascia and typical M features, like quad exhausts and side gills, assuring they’ll never be mistaken for a run-of-the-mill grocery getter.
