ADNEC Group Unveils ESG Report Highlighting Commitment to Sustainability

ADNEC Group has launched its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, underscoring its dedication to sustainable growth, ethical practices, and social responsibility across its diverse business segments. The report reflects ADNEC’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into its operations, particularly within its seven key clusters: Venues, Events, Hotels, Food & Beverage, Services, Tourism, and Media.

The ESG report is not just a reflection of the group’s commitment to sustainability but also sets ambitious targets for the future. Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, emphasized that these efforts are aligned with the broader national vision of promoting economic diversification and sustainability, particularly in non-oil sectors like business tourism.

In 2023, ADNEC achieved a record economic impact of AED 7.37 billion, marking a 107% increase from the previous year. This remarkable growth is attributed to the group’s strategic initiatives and the unwavering support of the UAE’s leadership. ADNEC’s focus on sustainability is evident in its commitment to reducing environmental impact, promoting ethical business practices, and enhancing social responsibility across its operations.

The report highlights several key achievements, including a significant increase in the number of events hosted at its venues and a corresponding rise in visitor numbers. The group also made strides in enhancing its sustainability initiatives, particularly in reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency across its properties.

Looking ahead, ADNEC has outlined a clear roadmap to further enhance its sustainability efforts. This includes plans to increase renewable energy use, reduce waste, and continue fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization. The group also aims to expand its social responsibility initiatives, focusing on community engagement and supporting local businesses.

As ADNEC continues to grow and expand its operations, its commitment to sustainability remains at the forefront of its strategy. The 2023 ESG report serves as a testament to the group’s dedication to creating a sustainable and prosperous future for its stakeholders and the wider community.
