Fast and the Furious actor Tyrese Gibson’s love for UAE has now made him set up a custom jeep assembly business in the Emirates.

The star’s Voltron Motors company has partnered with Souq Al Haraj of the Sharjah Asset Management, the investment body of the Government of Sharjah to open a branch there.

Gibson, who has made several trips to the UAE, more recently for the premiere of the eighth installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious, signed the agreement with Ahmed Juma Al Musharrekh, the director of the investment company.

This is Voltron Motors’ first branch outside the United States and Gibson’s first official venture in the UAE.

According to the actor the company has already sold 17 jeeps in the three days since they opened this week.

Souq Al Haraj will be displaying the Voltron Motors jeeps in more than 300 showrooms, according to the actor’s message on Instagram.

Gibson said in a statement he believes the UAE is a major regional hub and added that his vehicles guarantee safety and protection to reduce car accidents and minimise injuries in collisions.

“In addition to safety measures, we focus on top performance and innovative design techniques in our customised, modified and upgraded cars,” he says.

The actor also gave a shoutout to Al Habtoor City where he stayed for seven days while on honeymoon with his wife.
