London gets new Four Seasons

Ten Trinity Square, a spectacular listed building across the road from the Tower of London, has reopened as the capital’s second Four Seasons property. The building dates from 1922 and was formerly the headquarters of the Port of London Authority. Closed for the past 25 years, the most historic parts of the ground floor, including the wood-pannelled UN Ballroom, have been preserved, while the hotel’s 89 rooms and 41 private residences have a softer feel. Some of the 11 suites preserve their high ceilings and original plasterwork. One of the hotel’s three restaurants is run by the three Michelin-starred French chef Anne-Sophie Pic. A luxurious spa will open in April. Rooms cost from £344 (Dh1,500) per night including taxes (www.fourseasons.com).
