Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Drops By AnTuTu Sporting 16-Megapixel Front And Rear Cameras

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro keeps surfacing in benchmark listings, and its latest appearance on AnTuTu reveals more details about its specifications.

With leaks popping up at a faster pace, the Galaxy C7 Pro unveiling could be just around the corner.

Just last week, the purported Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking site, which listed a few core specs for the smartphone such as a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4 GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 on the software front.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Specs On AnTuTu

A new AnTuTu benchmark listing (login required) now reveals more spec details, while also confirming some of the specs previously surfaced on Geekbench. As TechUpdate3 reports, AnTuTu lists the Galaxy C7 Pro with a full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), 64 GB of native storage and 16-megapixel cameras on both the front and back.

AnTuTu echoes the 4 GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 OS version listed on Geekbench, but it lists the processor as a Snapdragon 626 instead of the Snapdragon 625 found on Geekbench. According to AnTuTu, the Snapdragon 626 powering the Galaxy C7 Pro is an octa-core CPU clocked at 2 GHz, which brings support for a dual-camera setup, features an X9 LTE modem, signal-boosting TruSignal technology and Adreno 506 graphics.

Imminent Release?

Samsung has yet to offer any details on the upcoming Galaxy C7 Pro, but the smartphone could make its debut as soon as next month, possibly alongside the Galaxy C5 Pro.

The purported Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro specifications leaked on Geekbench and AnTuTu hint at a midrange device with some attractive specifications, but no top-notch features to compete at the high-end segment of the smartphone market. Consequently, the Galaxy C7 Pro should be affordably priced, albeit no information is currently available regarding the smartphone’s price or the markets it will reach.

Samsung took a heavy blow this year with its two Galaxy Note 7 recalls, but the company is expected to bounce back in the game. The Samsung brand is still strong at least in the United States, and more devices should help ease the negative impact of the Galaxy Note 7 recalls.

On a higher-end front, Samsung is expected to unveil a top-notch Galaxy S8 series at the Mobile World Congress in late February, rocking the latest Snapdragon 835 processor from Qualcomm. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is further expected to feature 6 GB of RAM, a massive 256 GB of internal storage and a smart AI virtual assistant.

In the meantime, Samsung fans looking for a midrange C-series smartphone can go for the existing Galaxy C7, while those looking for a flagship model can get the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge.
